Every year the students of the Department prepare Onam feast from their home and serve Sadya to the inhabitants of Home of Love. Students also organise cultural programmes and games to entertain them. During Christmas, students collect money and gifts to be utilised for the welfare of the inmates. Students also share the joy of Christmas and New Year by organizing a Christmas Carol and by distributing cakes and sweets. With the money collected by the students through Mite Box, the Department extends financial help to a poor family every year

Chevarambalam L.P School is also a beneficiary of the department as students organize programmes for the tiny tots on a regular basis. Old books, stationeries and classes are also given from time to time.
